ADA’s flight crews maintain unrestricted ICAO ATPL (H) licenses with at least ELP4 endorsements.

The Employment Committee screens all on-line applications to ensure applicants meet the minimum departmental requirements.

Priority is given to applicants with the following experience: offshore, long-line, EMS / SAR, seismic, and spray. Our minimum qualifications are:

Helicopter

Unrestricted ATPL (H) – Must be valid for at least six months from arrival in Abu Dhabi
Valid Class 1 Medical Certificate – Must be valid for at least six months
ELP4 or ELP5 or ELP6 or at least an ICAO-recognized ELP4 certificate
3,500 hours in helicopters; 3,000 as PIC
100 hours Night; 15 hours in helicopters as PIC
75 hours Instrument; 50 hours in helicopters as PIC
500 hours Multi-Engine Helicopter; 250 hours as PIC

Valid Class 1 Medical
1500 hours in helicopters; 800 as PIC
100 hours Night; 15 hours in helicopters as PIC
75 hours Instrument; 50 hours in helicopters as PIC
500 hours Multi-Engine Helicopter; 250 hours as PIC
Previous SAR Experience
Preferably Ex-Military

Valid Class 2 Medical
1000 hours helicopter operations
Recognised Helicopter Air Crewman Course
Previous SAR Experience

Valid Class 1 Medical Certificate – Must be valid for at least six months
ELP4 or ELP5 or ELP6 or at least an ICAO-recognized ELP4 certificate
DASH 8 Type Rating
1,500 hours; 500 hours DHC-8 PIC as 2IC
